LOG BOAT ARRIVALS HERE AS COMMENTS

If you have knowledge of any new refugee arrivals by boat to Australia then please log them as a 'comment' at this blog. Please provide as much detail as you can together with a link or an explanation as to the source of your information.

  2. Hi Damian, hi all.

    While I think the idea of logging arrivals, amongst other things, is a good and important one, might I suggest people use the incident reporting website at https://watch.refugee-rights.net rather than (or at least in addition to) the comments section on your blog? Aside from allowing a broader range of incidents to be reported and aggregated, the watch site also allows people to browse and search by date, location and type of incident. And the more people use the watch site, the more powerful it will become. Thanks a lot.

  4. A third boat has arrived in Australian waters since the election. It was found NW of Christmas Island with 158 people on board on Thursday 12 September 2013.

  5. 'The Australian', suprisingly, seems to have broken the drought on news of boat arrivals with this story that broke on Saturday 14 Sept.

  7. A refugee boat was intercepted by the Australian Navy Sunday 23 September 2013. Some 30 asylum seekers were on board.

  14. According to a tweet from Gordon Thomson on Christmas Island, a boat has landed with some 50 refugees on board. Tweet dated 12 October 2013.
